Q:
Do you have a frosted sheet like this that is UV stable?
I need it for shades on external lights.

Asked by: adam chafe
A:
Hi Adam,

Thank you for your question, I do not believe these sheets are UV stable one of my colleagues has previously used them externally and they flaked and cracked within a year so I would not recommend them for external use.

Q:
Is it possible to make a lampshade diffuser from this material and can you cut to size?
Asked by: Pat jones
A:
Hi Pat, It should be possible to use this product for a lamp shade, it is very flexible and once rolled and glued/fastened into place it should work great. Unfortunately we don't have the facility to cut the material to size and we buy this pre-cut.

Q:
Do you guys know if you can paint this material? if yes do you know what type of paint it's recommended? Would paint marker work too?
Asked by: Vicente
A:
Hello Vicente, This isn't something we are aware of, it is possible to print onto the material but not sure about painting. It may well be possible to paint onto the surface, however it may scratch off rather than form a permanent bond with the material.

Q:
If I made a lamp shade cylinder with this how could I stick it? Would a glue gun work?
Asked by: Jo Clark
A:

There are various different options for gluing polypropylene sheet, including PUR glue and hot melt. So yes a glue gun should work fine.

Q:
Is it possible to glue pictures onto the sheets? If so what is the best product to use?

Thank you
Asked by: Kate Wightman
A:

Yes it’s fine to glue pictures to the sheets, if you are wanting to use the sheet as a backing for a collage or something similar then a normal glue stick works well.
