Makedo Invent Kit

Transform ordinary cardboard boxes into inspiring STEM, Design & Technology and large-scale collaborative projects with the Makedo Invent Kit. Designed for classrooms, makerspaces and group learning environments, the Invent Kit includes everything needed to safely cut, connect and construct imaginative cardboard creations, turning everyday packaging into vehicles, costumes, structures, inventions and more. Suitable for ages 4+. Children aged 4-6 will benefit from adult assistance, while ages 7+ can typically build independently. Adult supervision is recommended where appropriate.

The Makedo Invent Kit is the ultimate cardboard construction solution for classrooms, STEM clubs, libraries, workshops and home education groups. With enough tools and connectors for larger groups of makers, learners can collaborate on ambitious projects while developing creativity, problem solving, communication and engineering skills through hands-on construction. Educators can further extend learning with the free resources available on the Makedo Resources Hub, which includes project ideas, activities and inspiration for cardboard construction.

Using Makedo’s reusable Scru connectors and child-friendly building tools, cardboard can be cut, folded and fastened together without glue, tape or complicated assembly methods. With enough tools for a classroom of makers, projects can be developed collaboratively, modified easily and rebuilt again and again, helping learners embrace experimentation and iterative design.

By giving new life to boxes and packaging that might otherwise be discarded, the Makedo Invent Kit also promotes sustainability and resourcefulness. From collaborative classroom installations and STEM challenges to imaginative role play environments and engineering prototypes, it’s an engaging way to combine creativity with real-world making.
