Q Would these switches be suitable to replace the push to make switches in the Quiz Buzzer kit ?
Asked by Richard Hunt on October 31, 2013 12:00 am
Answered by the admin Yes those will work. Just note that there are 3 'legs' on the switch labeled COM(common), NO(normally open), NC(normally closed). You want to use COM and NO to replace a push to make switch.

Q why does the switch have three extensions?

Answered by the admin The 3 connections are common, normally open and normally closed. So you would use the common and one of the other pins depending on if you want the switch to be normally open or normally closed.
