Q:
Can these mirrors be secured with double sided tape without damaging the mirror coating?
Asked by: William Stone
A:

Doudle sided tape wont effect the backing of the Perspex, however you must ensure that the tape will securly hold the Perspex in place.

Q:
Hi from experience I have found that the grey/black backed acrylic tends to not cut very well on a laser cutter. Does this have a white back?
Asked by: Jonny woolsey
A:

It's an off-white colour. I've cut it before with a laser and it seemed ok.

Q:
Are acrylic mirror sheets suitable for a dance studio?
Asked by: Stephanie Gaona
A:
Hi, the Perspex website (manufacturer of the material we sell) says "Extuded acrylic mirror, at half the weight and five times the impact strength of plate glass mirror, offers all the benefits without the associated risk of breakages."

Q:
Hi there, would it be possible to have mirrored acrylic cut to sizes of approx 40mm x 210mm? I need about 300 this size... How much would this be? Thank-you very much, Chris
Asked by: chris
A:
Hi Chris! Our laser cutter is only 600x400mm so we would have to use the smaller sheets. You would be looking at around £0.69 per 40x210 strip. If you email support@kitronik.co.uk I can give you a proper quote. Also the sizes would only be accurate to about 1mm. Some might be 41mmx209mm or similar.

Q:
How about dye sublimation - will it cope with 180degC? Thanks
Asked by: Sarah
A:
Are you looking to evaporate a dye then let it condense on the surface of the mirror? Or are you going to heat the Perspex to 180C and concerned about the mirror finish evaporating off of the Perspex?

Q:
Ermm... I know this is a stupid question - but can you cut this mirrored acrylic sheet with a laser? Is it possible and/or hazardous? Is there a trick to it?
Asked by: James Wallbank
A:
Yes it can be cut by a laser, however you must make sure that the mirrored side is facing down. You can then cut it the same way as you would a clear sheet of acrylic.

Q:
Hi I need 12 sheets of mirror arcylic sheet 500mm x 2000mm
Asked by: neil
A:
On the Perspex sheet product menu is a page on cut to size sheets, on this we take a 3m by 2m sheet and cut it to whatever size you require. To do the 500 x 2000mm you need would require two sheets.
