Further Information

Does the Fault o/p trip only at 25A? Can it be preset to a different value?
Intention is to use the board as an over-current trip for a DC motor. ( Will add a low pass filter to ignore initial motor start surge current)
Asked by: D2P*
Thank you for your question, the kit is a sensor that measures between -25A and 25A so can register as the current draw increases. The intent is you can use it along side a micro controller so that when a particular current level is reached you can use that to trip the motor.

do you thread the wire 'to be sensed' through the two IP holes, or cut the wire and solder to each hole.
Bit confused as if the wire is to be soldered - could have done with being bigger pads ....?

Thanks in advance
Asked by: n pearson
Hi, the current needs to pass through the IC so cut and one end soldered to "IP +" and one to "IP -". Thanks for the feedback on the pad sizes. I can see how with certain sizes of wire they might be tricky. The solder mask can be scratched off to reveal more copper to "enlarge" the pad if you're having difficulty.

Please note that the maximum voltage you can run through the IC is 100V DC or 100V Peak AC
