The Kitronik Screen-Free Programming Pack for Mai-Z The MouseBot is an easy and engaging way for children to explore coding without ever touching a screen. Using the colourful instruction blocks, they build a sequence of movements, teach Mai-Z to read them, and then watch their robot bring the program to life. It’s simple, tactile, and instantly rewarding.

Inside the pack you’ll find 53 programming blocks, a double-sided townscape poster for imaginative routes and challenges, a screen-free board that plugs straight into Mai-Z, and a 16-page booklet packed with beginner-friendly lessons and activities. The downloadable datasheet includes everything you need to get started.

The blocks follow the same colour-coding used in Microsoft MakeCode for micro:bit, helping children build transferable coding skills. Blue blocks are start commands, Teal blocks handle obstacle detection, Green blocks control forward movement, Pink blocks turn Mai-Z left or right, Purple blocks set precise angles, and Orange blocks activate indicators and the horn.
