3x AAA Battery Box with Switch and JST Connector

This 3x AAA Battery box features a slide and click cover, built in on/off switch the 150mm leads terminate in a JST connector.

The JST connector is that same type of connector found on the microbit, however, 3 batteries exceeds the 1.8V to 3.6V for V1 boards; 1.7V to 3.6V for V2 boards (4V absolute max for V2 boards), so the 4.5V supplied by this battery box would need to be stepped down to the correct voltage to power the micro:bit.

The battery box’s built in switch will allow you to power off your projects without having to disconnect anything. This will also help to extend the working life of the battery box’s JST connector.

Note:

• Batteries are not included, you will find suitable batteries here.
• The operating voltage for the micro:bit is 1.8V to 3.6V for V1 boards; 1.7V to 3.6V for V2 boards (4V absolute max for V2 boards), so the 4.5V supplied by this battery box would need to be stepped down to the correct voltage to power the micro:bit. Not stepping down the voltage may damage the micro:bit.
