Pimoroni Lipo Amigo - Lipo Charger

The LiPo Amigo is a stamp-sized charger for LiPo or LiIon batteries. At one end is a USB-C connector for attaching power, and at the other is a JST-PH connector for connecting LiPo or LiIon batteries. The board also features an LED that lights up when an attached battery is being charged.

The circuit has been constructed using an MCP73831 advanced linear charge management controller. This IC has a very small footprint and delivers a consistent 200mA charging current.

This board does not possess any under-voltage or other battery protection features. So, we do recommend that you use it only with batteries with a built-in protection circuit.
