This week sees the 7th annual Gadget Show Live held at the Birmingham NEC from April 8th - 12th, with exhibitors showcasing the latest in technology from around the globe. We went along on behalf of CEL to show off and demonstrate the Robox printer, as well as to introduce Kitronik to more people and so we could meet some of you in person!
With manufacturers from all walks of technology at the show there really is something for everyone, ranging from the hugely impressive Dyson stand demonstrating the latest in domestic tech, to the gaming section with everything from ZX spectrums to Occulus Rifts, and even the military allowing visitors the opportunity to get their hands on military spec robots for the day.
Throughout the week we have already seen a great reaction to the printers and to our deluxe speaker kits that we have been demonstrating as part of a printed set. With all four printers running at once alongside finished pieces, visitors could get closer to the print process offering a greater understanding of the chain a print goes through from design, to slicing, to the final finished article...Our Darth Vader examples in particular were excited both adults and kids alike!
A running theme of this year's Gadget Show live is the rise of the desktop 3D printer, with the Robox presenting the best specification in it's price range by far, and coming very close to printers costing two or three times as much. Grant from CEL was also on hand to provide a short masterclass for visitors on 3D printing and the Robox, giving them a chance to speak directly with the company and learn the basics of how to 3D print.
The Gadget Show Live will be continuing over the weekend, with the exhibition open to the public 9am-6pm and tickets are available here.
Come to the Kitronik stand to say hello learn more about the Robox printer as well as our own product kits, and you can also find out more about the Robox from it's designers at the CEL stand too.
We look forward to seeing you!
