These through-hole BAT41 diodes are general-purpose small signal Schottky metal to silicone diodes that features extremely fast switching, low turn-on voltage and low forward and reverse recovery times, Additionally, this component features protection against excessive voltage such as electrostatic discharges.

The BAT41 is a popular Schottky diode that you will find in a number of Kitronik project kits. We often utilise them on solar recharging circuits to stop the rechargeable batteries from discharging back into the solar cells. The following Kitronik kits & products all feature this diode;

The Schottky diode is named after the German physicist Walter H. Schottky and is a semiconductor diode formed by the junction of a semiconductor with a metal.

Features:

  • Very fast switching.

    Answered by the admin Thank you for your question, the diode will have a black marking on one end and that is the direction that the charge will be able to flow. It will not allow flow in the opposite direction.
