Description

With the USB-C Female to USB-C Male on/off switch adapter for the Raspberry Pi Power supply, powering up and down your Pi is as easy as flipping a switch. This simple little black adapter makes searching for the stray end of your power supply down the back of your desk a thing of the past. Epic!

Plug your power supply into the adapter, plug the adaptor into your Raspberry Pi/Pi 400 computer and then use the adaptors onboard on/off switch to power up your Pi. Please ensure when powering down the Pi or rebooting, this is done correctly from within the operating system and not with the on/off adaptor. Turning the switch off should only be done when the Pi is fully shut down to avoid damage. The adaptor also features a handy status LED.

As the Raspberry Pi 5 has an onboard power button, this accessory is for Raspberry Pi 4/400 or older. However, it can be used with a Raspberry Pi 5 to ensure the Pi doesn't autoboot when the attached power supply has been plugged in. This product has only been tested by us with a Raspberry Pi 4. 

Note:

  • Before using the on/off adapter to remove power from the Pi, always ensure that the Pi has been shut down properly first. Removing power from the Pi when it is running can damage both the Pi and Booting Media (micro SD Cards).
  • Do not use the on/off adapter to reboot the Pi, always reboot the Pi properly via the operating system. Removing power from the Pi when it is running can result in damage to both the Pi and Booting Media (micro SD Cards).
  • This is designed and tested for the Raspberry Pi 4 using an official Raspberry Pi 4 power supply. It may not work well with smartphones or other USB-C chargers/power supplies.
  • This cable does not transfer data.

  • If you spend over £200 (£240.00 including VAT, excluding large materials or lithium batteries) delivery is free within the UK.

Rest of the world

  • These orders are sent via UPS, and the cost is dependant on the service you choose at checkout. Alternatively you can choose the free collection option and have your own courier collect it from us. International orders can only be shipped to the registered card address. Please note: International orders may be charged import duty dependant on local import laws and duty rates. These charges are usually billed to you directly from UPS.
  • Delivery times vary for international orders depending on the service selected and the destination. You can see the delivery time and cost at the shipping stage, or by using the shipping estimator from within the shipping basket.

Collection

  • If you would like to collect your order, or use your own courier then there is an option you can select during checkout. We do not charge a packaging or handling fee for this service, and you will receive an email when your order has been processed, you can collect half an hour after receipt of this email.
