Data Protection Privacy Policy

At Kitronik we take the protection of our customers’ personal details very seriously. It goes without saying that we will never sell on your details and we only share them with a small number of companies essential to providing the service. The type of information we keep and what it is used for depends on why you gave us the data in the first place, as detailed in the paragraphs below.

Kitronik may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 1/11/2010.

Placing an order

If you have placed an order online then Kitronik store the details of what was on the order, the delivery address and your contact details as this is all required so we can meet the contractual requirements of fulfilling the order. Your address and contact information will be shared with the Royal Mail or our preferred courier in order that we can ship the order. Your email address will be used to confirm the order and to inform you that the goods are on the way. We will only use your phone number if we have a query with the order.

If you have checked out without creating an account we store these details for 12 months allowing refunds or replacement under warrantee to be an easy experience and so that we can contact you should we need to recall a product that you have purchased. At the end of the 12 months all your personal details are erased, we still know what products were sold, but we don’t know anything about the buyer.

If you have created an account then the details of your order are stored for a period of 3 years so that you can look back at your order history, should you wish to reorder.

If you have a credit account or distributor account with us then we also keep the order history for a period of 3 years.

Email list

If you have signed up to our email list then your email address is stored by MailChimp and is only used in order that we can keep you up to date. You can withdraw from this service at any point in time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of all emails.
