Hi guys

I want to run a desk lamp project using an USB lead. 5v .5A.

Can you help me set this up with the correct components? I'd like 5 LEDS's or less or would that be too much. I'd need ultra bright rather than a Star LED due to the setup. Would I need any resistors or @ 150mA with 5V would be ok. Happy to run 3 LED's but I guess I'd need a resistor running 90mA's?

Hi James,

You can use a micro USB lead and 5 LEDs wired in parallel, each with a current limiting resistor. 100 Ohm resistors would be fine for ultra bright white LEDs.
