Q:
Dear Sir I need to build a sword as final project of my course. The sword is this one http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/059/6/8/borderlands_2__zero_render_by_villafj-d4ra12a.png . To produce de blade I need a blue fluorescent acrylic sheet polished with the exacts measures. I need a total thickness of 10mm. It is possible that you can cut me a pice like this? Please. I would like to send you a orthographic with all the details but, I can't send you by this way anything else. Thank you so much. Veronica

A:
While we can provide sheets of fluorescent Perspex for you to use with your school or university's laser cutter, unfortunately we do not offer the cutting of one-offs of complex shapes.

Q:
Hi I am doing a light project and I am wondering if I use the fluorescent sheets , what color light source would I have to use to get maximum effect?
Asked by: Justin Campbell
A:
A high brightness white LED would give the best results, you will also be able to see some good results with a colour changing LED, however the colour changing LED works best with a clear sheet. On a laser cutter you can achieve some nice results by 'engraving' the surface of the plastic as this will fluoresce and look even better when illuminated.
