Emma shows us how she made some custom football glasses from a couple of Perspex sheets. It requires very few materials and is super simple to do. We've provided a list of the materials we used and a free DXF download.
We Used:
- 1 x Glass Look Clear Perspex® Sheet
- 1 x Grey 901 Perspex® Sheet
- Plastic Cement or Superglue
- A Laser Cutter
- This DXF
Make Laser Cut Perspex Custom Football Glasses:
With the design already done, this is a super simple make, a little laser cutting and gluing and you're done. Let's go!
Step 1: The Design:
If you want to tweak the design in any way, like to add your favourite teams name one of the arms, just load the file into your CAD software and make your edits.
Step 2: To The Laser Cutter:
Cut the provided DXF out on your Laser cutter, on materials as per the above diagram.
Step 3: Assembly:
Use Superglue or Plastic cement to assemble them as above. Simple! Tip: Use your glue of choice sparingly! If there is too much it may extrude from the side and smear the front or back of the acrylic... and we're done!
