A Preview of the BETT Show 2016 featured image
This week, we've been busy getting ready for the BETT Show 2016 at the EXCEL London from the 21st -23rd January. The BETT (British Educational Training and Technology) Show is the UK's largest meeting of educational technology in the UK where we're launching a number of products including the 'Inventors Kit for the BBC micro:bit'. bett_show_with_logo_870 We're going to be demonstrating using the BBC micro:bit with external outputs, including controlling a crane and a line following buggy (pictured below), all powered by the BBC micro:bit. We're also showing a number of e-textile applications of the BBC micro:bit including a BBC micro:bit Rocket Countdown Pencil Case.

You'll find us in the BBC micro:bit section in the BETT STEAM Village, which is in the back right hand corner of Hall 'North 19'. There is an area of the BETT Show's website summarising the BBC micro:bit zones: 'As part of the STEAM village at BETT, the BBC and its partners will be showcasing the BBC micro:bit – a pocket-sized, codeable computer that will be given free to every 11 or 12 year old child in year 7 or equivalent across the UK.' 'There will be opportunities to get hands on with the BBC micro:bit at inspirational training sessions plus demonstrations and coding activities that will showcase the device as an amazing tool for learning and creativity.'
