We would like to take some time out to wish all of our friends a Merry Christmas And Happy New Year. It's been a great year for us and all of our friends have been an integral part of making that happen. So, as well as wishing you all the best we would also like to say a big thank you!

We've got something super exciting to share with you this week, Fischertechnik STEM Packs are now available from Kitronik! At the time of writing, we have 9 new lines with more to follow.

The Kitronik crew, consisting of myself (Ben) and company director Geoff, were fortunate enough to be asked to join our distributors at Digi-Key at Maker Faire Rome 2018. All Roads Lead To Rome Maker Faire 2018. We headed to Rome this weekend for the Rome Maker Fair 2018. But first, we need to build a new track. Check it out!

Banish those winter blues with a Desk Lamp fashioned from our 5V Mini LED Lamp Module. The image below shows the two lamp designs developed by Matt Moeser to accompany this product. Additionally, one design needed to be laser-cut and the other 3D printed.

This weekend Kitronik attended their first All London Raspberry Pi Jam at the Flatiron School. Kitronik's Ben Gray, loaded down with a delicious selection of Kitronik goodies, headed south in pursuit of knowledge and great company.

After the summer slow down, nothing gives the new product introductions a kick start better than a new catalogue. We've come out the other side of that now and the new lines are still coming thick and fast. It must be the bigger warehouse we have now, gotta fill it all!

These free 3D printed deluxe rear bike light cases have been designed to fit our new Rear Bike Light Kit. Now the nights are drawing it's time to get your bikes ready for the low light conditions ahead.  There is no better way to do that to use something you've made yourself! You can either use our free designs as is or use them as inspiration for your own designs.

The new Design And Technology Catalogue 2018 to 2019 is now out and should be landing in your school in the very near future. We've also uploaded a digital version that you can access while you wait for your hard copy.

We've added some great new products to the range recently that we can't wait to tell you about! So many in fact that this is a selection rather than the full list, so we avoid a TL;DR situation.

In the spirit of the original mission statement, the microbit goes to rural India for a series of workshops. The workshops were run by Timeless Lifeskills and delivered to children who would not have got the opportunity otherwise.

It's been quite a while since we last shared any new product news via a blog post. We've been so busy of late that we haven't done much to bring new additions to our range to your attention. The lure of attending shows and events has been too great, we love getting out and about and meeting as many people as possible!

May the fourth be with you Gallery! It's not all work work work here at Kitronik HQ. Sometimes it's fun work fun! Which is the case this may the fourth, or Star Wars day as it is commonly known.

We wanted some new artwork for the office walls when we move to our new premises next month and last weekend I had spent the day with family at Highfields Park boating lake. I decided this would make an interesting piece for a laser cut map as the contrast between the water and land is easy to show. The same technique could be used for any area with both water and land in it.

It had to happen sooner or later but we've now outgrown our current HQ and we are now moving! A new HQ has been sourced and is now being prepared for our arrival. The move will allow us to expand our stocked range of products significantly.

This is a basic laser cutting guide for laser cut animals showing you how to turn images into DXF laser files ready for your cutter. In addition, we used Inkscape to sketch out a little stand so that once cut we could show off our laser cut animals in the best possible light! Learn how!
