This year so far has been a year of celebration: we are currently celebrating our 10th Birthday with the added bonus of celebrating the sale of our millionth home produced kit here in Nottingham.

Earlier this month the BBC micro:bit was launched at New Broadcasting House and a couple of days later Geoff took it to show teachers at the D&T Association summer school. We look back at the event here.

Last week we attended the final presentation of the NTU SKE students, a course for graduates with a degree in a subject other than D&T, who wish to train as secondary Design and Technology teachers. They had spent a lot of the last seven weeks working on their projects, and we were excited to see what the four groups came up with.

New resources for teachers to confidently bring ‘electronic fashion’ into the classroom as part of the new design and technology (D&T) curriculum have been created through a research partnership between Nottingham Trent University’s School of Education and electronic components firm, Kitronik.
